There are two components of your overall healthcare while attending Princeton University. University Health Services (UHS)the University's on-campus health facilityThe first component is the healthcare provided by UHS for on-campus needs, regardless of any pre-existing conditions you may have. If there is an ongoing medical condition then UHS will work with you directly in coordinating care with an off-campus provider in the local Princeton area to ensure you are getting the specialized care you need. We recommend you schedule an appointment with UHS to coordinate any care needed for your medical condition. For contact information and services provided at UHS, please visit University Health Services.Your Health Insurance PlanThe second component is your health insurance through the Student Health Plan (SHP) or your private health plan (PHP).Your insurance would cover off-campus treatment and services with physicians and specialists not available on-campus at University Health Services. Regardless of your health insurance plan (SHP or PHP), you may utilize University Health Services, as long as you are an actively enrolled student.
