Medical Plan Annual Deductible

The medical plan has an annual An out-of-pocket expense you would need to pay during a 1 year coverage period before your plan begins to pay at an in-network or out-of-network rate. of $200/individual or $400/family.

Your deductible is an out-of-pocket expense you would need to pay before the plan starts paying their share of the cost.

Your plan deductible is annual and is reset at the start of each 12-month coverage period.  Once you meet your deductible for the plan year, you do not need to pay towards the deductible for the remainder of that year.

When the next 12-month coverage period begins (for the Student Health Plan it is August 1st each year), a new $200 deductible (or $400/family) will be applied to the new plan year.  Meaning, every year you will be subject to a new deductible.
