• All active, registered students are eligible to enroll in the Student Health Plan.
• Elect to enroll in the Student Health Plan. 
• An enrollment election must be made every year during the election period.
• Financial aid may be available to aid-eligible students.

Degree Programs 

Your student health plan enrollment is mandatory. You are automatically enrolled.

Non Degree Programs 

Exchange Students(GEXC) 

You are not eligible to enroll in the SHP.  However, you may opt to purchase a separate plan for services provided at Frist Health Center. For more information, contact University Health Services.

Inter-University Doctoral Consortium (IUDC)

You are not eligible for the SHP and University Health Services. Coverage would be through your home institution.

Qualifying Nondegree Students (QUAL) 

You are automatically enrolled in the SHP in accordance with the terms of your contract with Princeton University.

Trailing Students (GTRL) 

You are automatically enrolled in the SHP in accordance with the terms of your contract with Princeton University.

Visiting Scholar Research Collaborator (VSRC) 

You are automatically enrolled in the SHP in accordance with the terms of your contract with Princeton University.

Visiting Students (GVISIT) 

You are automatically enrolled in the SHP in accordance with the terms of your contract with Princeton University.

You may enroll your eligible dependentsSpouse and/or children under the age of 26 in the Student Health Plan through MyUHS.          

Required Documentation

Proof of dependency is required to be uploaded to MyUHS at the time of enrollment: 

• Marriage certificate is required for a spouse
• Birth certificate or adoption papers are required for a child

Fees

The annual fee is $2,430 for a spouse, and $1,215 per child, billed half in fall and half in spring. Fees are subject to change each plan year.
